We Are Christ's Hands & Voice In The World

Make Time For God this Lent

Shrove Pancake Supper Tuesday, February 9th • 6:00p

Support our Youth Ministry for one last party before the fasting begins. Free-will donations are accepted. The funds will go to support our Youth Fund which helps to pay for our Youth to attend conferences and Synod Retreats.

Lent begins this year on Wednesday, February 10.

Grounded in and modeled after the forty days Jesus spent in the wilderness being tempted by the devil, it is a time for us to contemplate what gets in the way of our relationship with God. Lent is also and invitation to be refreshed and in renewed as we make time for God, especially through worship, Bible study, prayer, and fasting. Join us this year as together we take time to make time for God.

Ash Wednesday, Feb 10th • 12:00p & 7:00p

Two services on February 10: Noon and 7:00pm with the Imposition of Ashes.

Midweek Soup & Bread Suppers

Beginning February 17, we will gather each Wednesday evening in Lent for a light meal of homemade soups and delicious breads. Dinner will be served from 6:00pm until 6:50pm. Come as you are. There are signup sheets in the narthex for those who would be willing to bring soup or bread.

Holden Evening Prayer

Join us on Wednesday evenings in Lent at 7:00 p.m. for Holden Evening Prayer. This simple, yet powerful service is a long-time favorite at Good Shepherd, and a great way make time and space in your life for God. Our study theme this year is: Walking Wet: Continuing in the Covenant of Baptism.
